How to Install Android v4 4 4 KitKat CandyKat Custom ROM on Google Nexus 5 full Tutorial

Step-by-step ROM Google-LG Nexus 5 set up procedure of Android v4. 4. 4 KitKat CandyKat:

Step 1: Android v4. 4. 4 KitKat CandyKat Custom made ROM Download (HERE) also with Google Apps (HERE) in the PC.

Step 2: Connect Google LG Nexus 5 in order to PC via UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS (USB) cord.

[Note: Before plugging the device to the laptop or computer, make sure you might have installed USB drivers software, if not necessarily, click Here in order to download the firmware]

Step 11: Once carried out with the installation method, navigate to +++++Go Back+++++ and re-start your phone by opting "reboot system now".

Pre Requisites:

2. Make sure your device have at least 60% battery power. You can install an app like Battery Notifier BT Free on your Android device to check it easily.
3. You already have USB Driver Installed for AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897 in your PC. [Download USB Drivers]
4. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled otherwise you won’t able to transfer file between PC and AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897. [Guide]
5. Your device have latest CWM version 6.0.4.4 and up or TWRP 2.6.3.0 and up installed.[Guide]

How to Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat based Avatar 5.0.4 ROM on AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897

Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device. Important: Don’t extract any files.
Disconnect USB and then turn off your AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897.
Now, boot into ClockworkMod recovery by pressing and holding the Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons together until the Samsung logo comes up, leave all three buttons. You will see ClockworkMod recovery Lcd soon. Use Volume keys to browse between options in recovery while Power key to select an option. Alternatively try this:Recovery Mode without Key Combination.
Perform a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM that you can restore later if this new ROM not work or you want to go back into your previous ROM. To perform a backup, select Backup and Restore, then on the next Lcd, select Backup again. Go back to main recovery menu after backup is complete.
Now, perform data wiping task. To do so, select wipe data/factory reset, then select Yes on next Lcd to confirm your action. Wait few minutes till the data wipe is complete. Now come back to CWM recovery main menu. Select wipe cache partition and after wiping process done, select Wipe Dalvik Cache under advance option to perform Dalvik cache wiping.
Select install zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from sdcard (or /sdcard1 for external storage). Now, locate the Avatar 5.0.4 Zip file that you copied earlier in Step 1 and select it by pressing Power button. Confirm installation by selecting Yes – Install _____.zip on the next Lcd. The ROM installation will begin.
Once the ROM installation process end, repeat the step 6 but choose the gapps-kk-20131119.zip file instead of ROM zip to install the Google apps package.
When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot your AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897 and boot up into Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM Avatar 5.0.4.
Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select backup and restore then restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.

Tutorial For TWRP Recovery Users:

Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device. Important: Don’t extract any files.
Disconnect USB and then turn off your AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897.
Now, boot into TWRP recovery by pressing and holding the Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons together until the Samsung logo comes up, leave all three buttons. You will see TWRP recovery Lcd soon. Alternatively try this:Recovery Mode without Key Combination.
Create a Backup using TWRP Backup Option.
Perform a Factory Reset (this will delete all apps and their settings and game progress). To do this, Tap on Wipe, then at the bottom of the Lcd do a Swipe on the ‘Swipe to factory reset‘ option.
Now its time to add zip file for flashing. Tap on Install, then browse to the location where you saved the files and tap on the Avatar 5.0.4 Zip file. Then tap on Add More Zips, and add gapps-kk-20131119.zip. Now at the bottom of the Lcd, do a swipe on the Swipe to confirm flash option to begin flashing.
When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and tap on Reboot and then, tap on System to reboot your AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897 and boot up into Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM Avatar 5.0.4.
Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select Backup then through Restore option, restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.

Congrats! Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware based custom ROM Avatar 5.0.4 is now installed and running on your AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897. If you stuck on Avatar boot logo more than 5 minutes then go back to recovery and perform Step 5 (wiping task) few more times before rebooting your device.

How to Update Samsung Galaxy S Mini 3 Android KitKat With CM11

Select Wipe Data / Factory reset by using the volume up / bottom then ok ( home ) , wait until the process is complete then select Wipe Cache Partition and then Ok .
Then select Advanced - > Wipe Dalvik Cache
The final step is select " Install zip from sd card " , find the file you previously saved CyanogenMode to do an update once the flashing to your phone .
After the install phase is complete do not forget to install GAPPS in the same manner with step 10 . then when youre done , please reboot your phone .

Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device. Important: Don’t extract any files.
Disconnect USB and then turn off your T-Mobile LG G2 D801.
Now, boot into recovery mode. To do so, press and hold Volume down & Power, when the LG logo appears release and press them again, then press the Power button three times! In recovery use Volume Keys to navigate between option and Power button to select an option. Alternatively try this: Recovery Mode without Key Combination.

How to Install Android 4 4 2 KitKat based AOKP ROM on Sony Xperia Z

Google has just rolled out the latest Android 4.4.2 firmware for many KitKat Nexus devices. 4.4.2 Official KitKat is mostly AOSP release without much adjustment. Pre Requisites:

1. Backup your device data.

3. You already have USB Driver Installed for Sony Xperia Z in your PC. Download USB Drivers

4. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled otherwise you won’t able to transfer file between PC and Sony Xperia Z.

5. Your device have latest CWM version 6.0.4.4 and up or TWRP 2.6.1 and up installed.

How to Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat based AOKP ROM on Sony Xperia Z

Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device.Important: Don’t extract any files.
Disconnect USB and then turn off your Sony Xperia Z.
Now, boot into recovery mode. To do so, reboot phone and press Volume Up button few times while booting. [in recovery use volume buttons to scroll and Power button to select].
Perform a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM that you can restore later if this new ROM not work or you want to go back into your previous ROM. To perform a backup, select Backup and Restore, then on the next screen, select Backup again. Go back to main recovery menu after backup is complete.
Now, perform data wiping task. To do so, select wipe data/factory reset, then select Yes on next screen to confirm your action. Wait few minutes till the data wipe is complete. Now come back to CWM recovery main menu. Select wipe cache partition and after wiping process done, select Wipe Dalvik Cache under advanceoption to perform Dalvik cache wiping.
Select install zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from sdcard. Now, locate the AOKP ROM Zip file that you copied earlier in Step 1 and select it by pressing Power button. Confirm installation by selecting Yes – Install _.zip on the next screen. The ROM installation will begin.
Once the ROM installation process end, repeat the step 6 but choose the gapps-kk-20131119.zip file instead of ROM zip to install the Google apps package.
When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot your Sony Xperia Z and boot up into rooted Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM AOKP.
Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select backup and restore then restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
