How to Install Android v4 4 4 KitKat CandyKat Custom ROM on Google Nexus 5 full Tutorial

Six Steps Prerequisite (things to remember before the installation of custom ROM in the smartphone):
- Although installing custom ROM improves the devices overall performance and UI activities, it makes the business warranty void and they will no longer be prone to provide updates in future (Users could restore warranty by flashing the product with stock-ROM).
- This Android v4. 4. 4 KitKat CandyKat personalized ROM has to be fitted just on Google-LG Nexus 5 Style (To check your model: Go to Settings >> About phone >> model number)
- You must rooted the phone first.
- For Installing of custom ROM needs to clear of whole data within your smartphone, So ensure that you back up your all the data by the help of Clockwork Mod. [CWM] Recovery/ TWRP in the smartphone.
- Now youve to make sure that your USB drivers is installed in the PC, or else the phone (Google-LG Nexus 5 model) wont recognize by your Personal Computer, Laptop or Whatever you use.
- The very last step is to make sure your device has little more than 80 percent battery power, or else there exists chances of getting bricked just for temporarily not to worry thats because if the installation process interrupt.

Step-by-step ROM Google-LG Nexus 5 set up procedure of Android v4. 4. 4 KitKat CandyKat:
Step 1: Android v4. 4. 4 KitKat CandyKat Custom made ROM Download (HERE) also with Google Apps (HERE) in the PC.
Step 2: Connect Google LG Nexus 5 in order to PC via UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS (USB) cord.
[Note: Before plugging the device to the laptop or computer, make sure you might have installed USB drivers software, if not necessarily, click Here in order to download the firmware]
Step 3: After that, place Android v4. 4. 4 KitKat Custom ROM zip file as well as the Google Apps. zip file to the phones SD card memory. [Note: We Advised users to paste the. zip files inside SD card root menu, not in any other folder]

Step 8: When you are performing the (Bootloader mode) go back to ClockworkMod Recovery mode then perform whole data wipe, by choosing wipe data/factory reset [Note: Use volume keys to navigate along with power button to pick options, while working is under Recovery Mode]
Step 9: Then, come back to the main recovery screen and then tap on install zip from SD card.
Step 10: Next tap choose zip from sd-card and go to Android 4. 4. 4 ROM zip file in Sd card and enter the actual installation process. Do the same procedure for installing Google Apps. [Note: Use volume tips to navigate and also power button to pick out options].
Step 11: Once carried out with the installation method, navigate to +++++Go Back+++++ and re-start your phone by opting "reboot system now".
Now, your phone "Google-LG Nexus 5" will take at least five minutes to finish the booting method.
Users, then head to Settings >> select About phone to confirm the installation of Android v4. 4. 4 KitKat CandyKat Custom ROM.

Android 4 4 2 update for Nexus 4 Nexus 5 Nexus 7 and Nexus 10
its not just been a complete week since we heard rumors of Google rolling out the Android 4.4.1 update to multiple nexus devices, today Google has secretly started rolling out a new Android 4.4.2 update for the Nexus devices. Google has yet to make an official announcement on this but we hope to from Google very soon. ![180196]()

With two consecutive updates being lined up for the Nexus devices, it seems some users might skip the Android 4.4.1 update and get directly updated to Android 4.4.2. it might be strange to see an update within less than a week after the android 4.4.2 update, but it seems google might have found a flaw in the previous update, which is why Google has swiftly rolled out the new Android 4.4.2 update to fix any issues in the previous firmware update.
As of now there has been no official change log but sprint seems to have confirmed the change log details for the new Android 4.4.2 update.

How to flash firmware?
1. Download from support firmware package. ( will upload soon ) or ( read flash file from phone )
2. Click open scat file and select scat from firmware directory.
3. Open firmware setting and check if selected all files.
4. Reinsert battery, click write flash and insert usb cable.
5. Wait untill ready.
6. Reinsert battery and start phone (recommended first start without
sim card).
How to wipe phone ?
1.Press reset phone(user stuff will gone).
On alcatel emmc phones this also reset code counter.
Alcatel android have damaged imei, how to solve?
1.Usually flashing help in this case.
Alcatel phones have imei in otp and if NVRAM become corupted, it
will be
autogenerated
after flash.
2.If this not help, posible your phone have hardware damage(modem
part).
How to format phone? (advanced only) ?
1. Click boot info.
2. From displayed partitions choose needed partition start and
length.
3. Click Format phone and insert values(hex or dec).
4. Click format.
P.S.
Don t format preloader, if preloader is formated, will need to make
tp to get phone alive.
How to read flash ?
1. Click boot info
2. Select needed partition start and length
3. Press read flash and fill ad*******.
4. Press read.
How to dump phone.?
1.Only EMMC phones supported for dumping.
2.To make memory backup press dump phone button.
Userdata have very big size, please consider this when start dump
phone.
2.Nand phones not supported for dumping.
How to unlock phone? (Read Codes)
1. Select model from list.
2. Click Read Codes

For this operation need special(CDC) driver to be installed
manaully.
Download driver from support and install if PC ask for this driver.
P.S.
Please note, do not play with preloader.
Phone can be maked alive from any state if preloader not touched.

Known problems:
1. Phone stuck on logo or restart on boot screen = Reflash phone.
2. Phone work ok but no network.
2. 1 Check IMEI.
2. 2 Check different firmwares, possible not math gsm module with
firmware.
2. 3 Corupted modem file, flash phone.
3. Phone work ok, but no imei.
3. 1 Flash phone, possible need to check different firmwares.
If modem file is for different hardware revision result will be no
IMEI also.
