How to Install Android v4 4 4 KitKat CandyKat Custom ROM on Google Nexus 5 full Tutorial

A brand new Android v4.4.4 KitKat Candy-Kat custom ROM has been distributed around the 2013s flagship smartphone Google Nexus 5.



Six Steps Prerequisite (things to remember before the installation of custom ROM in the smartphone):
  • Although installing custom ROM improves the devices overall performance and UI activities, it makes the business warranty void and they will no longer be prone to provide updates in future (Users could restore warranty by flashing the product with stock-ROM).
  • This Android v4. 4. 4 KitKat CandyKat personalized ROM has to be fitted just on Google-LG Nexus 5 Style (To check your model: Go to Settings >> About phone >> model number)

  • You must rooted the phone first.
  • For Installing of custom ROM needs to clear of whole data within your smartphone, So ensure that you back up your all the data by the help of Clockwork Mod. [CWM] Recovery/ TWRP in the smartphone.

Step-by-step ROM Google-LG Nexus 5 set up procedure of Android v4. 4. 4 KitKat CandyKat:

Step 1: Android v4. 4. 4 KitKat CandyKat Custom made ROM Download (HERE) also with Google Apps (HERE) in the PC. 

Step 2: Connect Google LG Nexus 5 in order to PC via UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS (USB) cord.

[Note: Before plugging the device to the laptop or computer, make sure you might have installed USB drivers software, if not necessarily, click Here in order to download the firmware]


Step 3: After that, place Android v4. 4. 4 KitKat Custom ROM zip file as well as the Google Apps. zip file to the phones SD card memory. [Note: We Advised users to paste the. zip files inside SD card root menu, not in any other folder]

[Note: Before Users start installing the actual software, Do make sure the device is already rooted and ClockworkMod Recovery is installed perfectly]

Step 4: Now turn-off your cell and disconnect it from the PC.

Step 5: Now perform the standard [Boot-loader] Mode sortie, by means of pressing volume up and volume down and power buttons at the same time.

Step 6: The moment performing the (Bootloader mode) go to ClockworkMod Recovery mode then perform whole data wipe, by choosing wipe data/factory reset [Note: Use volume keys to navigate along with power button to pick options, while working is under Recovery Mode].

Step 7: Then, Youve to clear the cache memory by selecting "wipe cache partition."

Step 8: When you are performing the (Bootloader mode) go back to ClockworkMod Recovery mode then perform whole data wipe, by choosing wipe data/factory reset [Note: Use volume keys to navigate along with power button to pick options, while working is under Recovery Mode]

Step 9: Then, come back to the main recovery screen and then tap on install zip from SD card.

Step 10: Next tap choose zip from sd-card and go to Android 4. 4. 4 ROM zip file in Sd card and enter the actual installation process. Do the same procedure for installing Google Apps. [Note: Use volume tips to navigate and also power button to pick out options].

Step 11: Once carried out with the installation method, navigate to +++++Go Back+++++ and re-start your phone by opting "reboot system now".

Now, your phone "Google-LG Nexus 5" will take at least five minutes to finish the booting method.


Users, then head to Settings >> select About phone to confirm the installation of Android v4. 4. 4 KitKat CandyKat Custom ROM.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Value Edition GT I8200L How to Install I8200LUBUANB2 Android 4 2 2 Jelly Bean Firmware

 How to Install Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Official Firmware on Galaxy S3 Mini I8200L through Odin:
  1. Download Android 4.2.2 UBUANB2 Firmware for Galaxy S3 Mini I8200L from the above list
  2. Download Odin 3.09
  3. Switch off your phone and boot Galaxy S3 Mini I8200L into Download Mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down+Home+Power buttons (long press until the boot Lcd appear), now press Volume Up key to proceed to Download Mode.
  4. Extract the downloaded Odin3.09 zip file and run the Odin3 v3.09.exe file as an administrator (Right click on the .exe file and click on Run as administrator)
  5. Now connect your Galaxy S3 Mini I8200L to your computer via USB cable
  6. In Odin3 Lcd, you should see a COM Port number like “0:[COM7]” at ID:COM section and “Added!” text at the message box. This means your device has been detected by Odin3.
  7. Make sure that, only the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” options are checked.
  8. Now, extract the downloaded firmware zip file, you’ll find a firmware file with extension .tar.md5
  9. In Odin Lcd, click on AP button and select the firmware file with .tar.md5 extension (The firmware file look something like: I8200LXXDLJ5_I8200LODDDLI7_INU.tar.md5)
  10. Now, click on the Start button to begin the installation process, wait few moments.
  11. Once completed, you would see “PASS!” message in ID:COM port having green background
  12. Your phone should automatically reboot after completion
  13. You can now disconnect your phone from computer

How to Update Samsung Infuse 4G i997 to Jelly Bean 4 1 via Cyanogenmod 10

Follow this guide to install Jelly Bean 4.1.1 via Cyanogenmod 10 on Samsung Infuse 4G i997.
Disclaimer : The Procedure described in this article are risky & can cause damage to your device. You should not try to attempt this if you are not aware of these things. Please follow this guide completely at your own risk. If any damage happened to your device while following this tutorial, neither we nor developer should be held responsible for the same.

Please note that, this update of Cyanogenmod 10 is applicable only for Samsung Infuse 4G bearing model number I997. DON’T try it on any other device, it may cause damage to your phone..
Pre-Requisites before installing Cyanogenmod 10 :
Charge your device upto 60% battery level so that installation procedure won’t be interrupted.
You will have to wipe all the data (excluding SD card) before installing this custom ROM update. Therefore it is highly recommended to Backup all your data from phone memory which includes contacts, messages (SMS/MMS), call logs, Internet APNs etc.
Enable USB Debugging option in your phone which can be found out here : “Settings->Applications->Development->USB Debugging”
Procedure to Update AT&T Samsung Infuse 4G I997 with Cyanogenmod 10 :
Before proceeding to the actual installation procedure, ensure that your device is running Android 4.0 (ICS) ROM & has custom recovery installed in it. Please don’t proceed further if your phone doesn’t meet above 2 requirements.
Download latest Cyanogenmod 10 package from the official development page (link is mentioned below) :


Infuse 4G Cyanogenmod 10
(Optional) Download Google Add-on Apps (Gmail, Maps, GTalk, Play Store etc.) which need to be flashed manually since they are not present in the ROM by default.
Google Apps (Jelly Bean).
After downloading CM10 & Google Apps, connect your device to PC. Enable mass storage mode on it. Now copy Cboth the files to your device’s SD card.
Disconnect it from computer. Boot in recovery mode on your phone. To do so, switch off the phone completely. Press & hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Key together until recovery mode appears (you may release power button after Samsung logo but keep holding other two).
Take a nandroid backup of your current ROM so that it can be restored back (in case if anything goes wrong). To backup your current ROM, select Backup and Restore option from the recovery mode & on next Lcd, select backup. Now It will make a nandroid backup of your whole system (excluding SD card). Wait for the backup process to get finished.
Select wipe data/factory reset & wipe cache partition to wipe all the data & caches from the phone memory respectively.
Now Select “install zip from sdcard” followed by “choose zip from sdcard“. Navigate the ROM file (which you’ve transferred earlier) Select it & press on ‘Yes‘ to continue. ROM installation process will start.
Wait for the ROM to get installed. After ROM gets successfully installed, your phone will land in the recovery mode again.
(Optional) The same procedure you have to do for installation of Google Apps (Don’t wipe the data again). After you finished installation of Gapps, press back button to go to main menu of CWM.
Select reboot system now from the recovery mode to Restart the phone.
Congratulations !! You’ve successfully updated your Samsung Infuse 4G with the Jelly Bean based custom ROM (Cyanogenmod 10). Step 1) DOWNLOAD Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Custom ROM for Galaxy Y.

Step 2) Connect your Galaxy Y USB to your computer using the USB cable.

Step 3) Copy the downloaded file to your SD card.

Step 4) Turn off your phone and then turn it in again in the recovery mode by pressing and holding the Volume UP + Home Button + Power Key buttons.

Step 5) Now you will see exclamation mark on your phone Lcd. Again hold your volume up and power buttons. Now your Galaxy Y is in recovery mode.

Step 6) Once your smartphone is in ClockworkMod recovery, you are ready to perform a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM. For that you will need to select Backup and Restore option followed by selecting Backup again in next windows. Once the backup is completed, you are ready to go back to main recovery menu.

 Step 7) Now you will need to wipe the previous ROM first. For that select Wipe data/factory reset option and select Yes to confirm the action.




Step 7) Now select Install zip from sdcard and then select choose zip from sdcard.

Step 8) Navigate to Custom ROM file we have just uploaded to SD card in step 3 and select it using power button. Confirm the installation on the next Lcd and the installation procedure should start now.

Step 9) Once installation is completed, go back to main recovery menu and select Reboot System Now.

Recommended: Before rebooting your phone from CWM Recovery, go to CWM Recovery main menu and select Wipe Data Cache under Advance option to perform the Data cache wiping.

Update Galaxy Note 8 0 N5100 with XXBMF1 Jelly Bean 4 1 2 Firmware

 Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 can now be updated with the Official Android 4.1.2 XXBMF1 Jelly Bean Firmware which comes with the added stability and bug fixes. Just in case if you still haven’t got the update of this firmware, you can now manually update the same. The best part of this update is that this is the Official firmware and not the beta or custom ROM firmware. Before we proceed to check on what are the instructions to apply with this firmware, you will need to follow the list of pre requisites which we have mentioned below.



Note: Applying with this firmware won’t root / void the warranty in any manner.

Quick Pre Requisites:
  • Create a backup of all your data with the help of below mentioned steps. Though, you can back up the data with KIES as well, we recommend you to backup manually with the help of below mentioned steps as sometimes KIES refuses to detect the device.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
  • From the path “Settings > Development Options > USB debugging” enable the USB Debugging Mode. Minimum charge left in your phone is 30% or else there is a risk of device getting turned off in the middle of rooting process.

Procedure to Update Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 with Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware:
  • Open Odin in your computer. Download Mode in Galaxy Note 8.0 can be entered by first turning Off the device and then hold Volume Down Rocker Key + Menu Button and then Power ON the device. Once the device is booted and you see the Download Mode Green Robot, you can release the button combos.
  • Connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then you will see that the ID : COM section will turn Yellow / Green, indicating that all the drivers are installed successfully.
  • Click on “PDA” to select the tar file which you got from the firmware package which is the TAR File which you got after extracting the file from the first step.
  • Once all the file is selected, click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. Once the firmware update process is completed which will be mentioned in the ODIN, the Galaxy S2 device will be rebooted.
  • For firmware update to be finished, it will take around 2-3 minutes for applying the update. Once the device is updated successfully, the device will be rebooted. As soon as you see the Language preferences or the Home Screen, you need to disconnect the device from computer and enjoy using your phone.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome Lcd, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.

This tutorial is only for AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897. Don’t try this guide on any other Android device. Also, we (True Android Team) are not responsible for any damage caused due to the instruction given in this page. Try this at your own risk. However, it is very unlikely that your device will be damaged if you follow all the instructions as it is which are mentioned in procedure.  
Pre Requisites:
1. Backup your device data. You can follow our ultimate backup guide
2.  Make sure your device have at least 60% battery power. You can install an app like Battery Notifier BT Free on your Android device to check it easily.
3. You already have USB Driver Installed for AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897 in your PC. [Download USB Drivers]
4. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled otherwise you won’t able to transfer file between PC and AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897. [Guide]
5. Your device have latest CWM version 6.0.4.4 and up or TWRP 2.6.3.0 and up installed.[Guide]
If you done everything that we mentioned above then you are ready to follow step-by-step guide on how to install Android 4.4.2 KitKat based Avatar 5.0.4 ROM on AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897. In below tutorial we discussed the process assuming your device a non-touch recovery; you can complete the process using touch if applicable.

  1. Avatar 5.0.4 For AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897  [Filename: avatar-5.0.4-NIGHTLY-20140124-captivatemtd.zip]
  2. Google Apps [Filename: gapps-kk-20131119.zip] or any other 4.4 KitKat GApps

How to Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat based Avatar 5.0.4 ROM on AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897

  1. Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device. Important: Don’t extract any files.
  2. Disconnect USB and then turn off your AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897.
  3. Now, boot into ClockworkMod recovery by pressing and holding the Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons together until the Samsung logo comes up, leave all three buttons. You will see ClockworkMod recovery Lcd soon. Use Volume keys to browse between options in recovery while Power key to select an option. Alternatively try this:Recovery Mode without Key Combination.
  4. Perform a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM that you can restore later if this new ROM not work or you want to go back into your previous ROM. To perform a backup, select Backup and Restore, then on the next Lcd, select Backup again. Go back to main recovery menu after backup is complete.
  5. Now, perform data wiping task. To do so, select wipe data/factory reset, then select Yes on next Lcd to confirm your action. Wait few minutes till the data wipe is complete. Now come back to CWM recovery main menu. Select wipe cache partition and after wiping process done, select Wipe Dalvik Cache under advance option to perform Dalvik cache wiping.
  6. Select install zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from sdcard (or /sdcard1 for external storage). Now, locate the Avatar 5.0.4 Zip file that you copied earlier in Step 1 and select it by pressing Power button. Confirm installation by selecting Yes – Install _____.zip on the next Lcd. The ROM installation will begin.
  7. Once the ROM installation process end, repeat the step 6 but choose the gapps-kk-20131119.zip file instead of ROM zip to install the Google apps package.
  8. When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot your AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897 and boot up into Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM Avatar 5.0.4
  9. Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select backup and restore then restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
Tutorial For TWRP Recovery Users:
  1. Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device. Important: Don’t extract any files.
  2. Disconnect USB and then turn off your AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897.
  3. Now, boot into TWRP recovery by pressing and holding the Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons together until the Samsung logo comes up, leave all three buttons. You will see TWRP recovery Lcd soon. Alternatively try this:Recovery Mode without Key Combination.
  4. Create a Backup using TWRP Backup Option.
  5. Perform a Factory Reset (this will delete all apps and their settings and game progress). To do this, Tap on Wipe, then at the bottom of the Lcd do a Swipe on the ‘Swipe to factory reset‘ option.
  6. Now its time to add zip file for flashing. Tap on Install, then browse to the location where you saved the files and tap on the Avatar 5.0.4 Zip file. Then tap on Add More Zips, and add gapps-kk-20131119.zip. Now at the bottom of the Lcd, do a swipe on the Swipe to confirm flash option to begin flashing.
  7. When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and tap on Reboot and then, tap on System to reboot your AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897 and boot up into Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM Avatar 5.0.4.
  8. Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select Backup then through Restore option, restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
Congrats! Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware based custom ROM Avatar 5.0.4 is now installed and running on your AT&T Galaxy Captivate SGH-I897. If you stuck on Avatar boot logo more than 5 minutes then go back to recovery and perform Step 5 (wiping task) few more times before rebooting your device.

How To Install XWUGML4 Android 4 3 JB Official Firmware on Galaxy S3 I9300 Guide

Samsung launches Android 4.3 Jelly Bean XWUGML4 official firmware update for the Galaxy S3 GT - I9300. The firmware update is launched in various countries including India, and also can be downloaded for manual updates. Galaxy S3 GT - I9300 comes with Android 4.0.4 ICS is then updated to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and nows your chance to upgrade to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

How To Install I9300XWUGML4 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean On Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 Manually

  1. Download Odin v3.09.
  2. Extract Firmware zip file that you downloaded earlier from above link, you will get a .tar.md5 file and some other files (optional).
  3. Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.09.exe along with few other files.
  4. Power off your Android device. Wait 5-6 seconds for vibration to confirm complete switch off.
  5. Now, put the Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 in Download Mode by pressing and holding down the Home & Volume Down button together while pressing the Power button. A warning Lcd will come up; press Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
  6. Now run Odin3 v3.09.exe (see Step 3) as an Administrator because Admin privileges is required to complete the process smoothly (only applicable Windows Vista and higher).
  7. Now connect your device to your PC using USB cable. An “Added!!” massage will appear in Odin’s message box.   10. Double check everything that we mentioned in Step 8 & Step 9 above. Now, once satisfied hit the START button to begin the flashing process.
  11. Once flashing completed, your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.
Congrats! You just updated your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware. Go to Settings > About device to verify this firmware update.

  • Click the Phone button and select file with MODEM in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
  • Click the CSC button and select file with CSC in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
  • Click the PIT button and select the .pit file. Ignore if there is no such file.

    8. In Odin, enable Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes. Also, ensure the Re-Partition checkbox       is chosen only if a .pit file was chosen in the previous step.
    9. Verify everything suggested in Step 7 and Step 8 is done correctly. Then hit the Startbutton to begin the     installation process.
   10. Once the installation process is completed, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS             message with green background in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. You can now unplug the     USB cable to disconnect your device from the computer.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100 should be now updated with official Android 4.2.2 XXCMK1 Jelly Bean. Head over to Settings >> About Phone to verify the software version running on the device.

To perform a backup, select Backup and Restore, then on the next screen, select Backup again. Go back to main recovery menu after backup is complete. 
  5. Now, perform data wiping task. To do so, select wipe data/factory reset, then select Yes on next screen to confirm your action. Wait few minutes till the data wipe is complete. Now come back to CWM recovery main menu. Select wipe cache partition and after wiping process done, select Wipe Dalvik Cache under advanceoption to perform Dalvik cache wiping. 
  6. Select install zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from sdcard. Now, locate the CM11 Zip file that you copied earlier in Step 1 and select it by pressing Power button. Confirm installation by selecting Yes – Install _____.zip on the next screen. The ROM installation will begin. 
  7. Once the ROM installation process end, repeat the step 6 but choose the gapps-kk-20131119.zip file instead of ROM zip to install the Google apps package. 
  8. When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot your Galaxy S4 mini I9195 and boot up into Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM CM11. 
  9. Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select backup and restore then restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
Congrats! Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware based custom ROM CM11 is now installed and running on your Galaxy S4 mini I9195.

Android 4 4 2 update for Nexus 4 Nexus 5 Nexus 7 and Nexus 10

its not just been a complete week since we heard rumors of Google rolling out the Android 4.4.1 update to multiple nexus devices, today Google has secretly started rolling out a new Android 4.4.2 update for the Nexus devices.  Google has yet to make an official announcement on this but we hope to from Google very soon.

With two consecutive updates being lined up for the Nexus devices, it seems some users might skip the Android 4.4.1 update and get directly updated to Android 4.4.2. it might be strange to see an update within less than a week after the android 4.4.2 update, but it seems google might have found a flaw in the previous update, which is why Google has swiftly rolled out the new Android 4.4.2 update to fix any issues in the previous firmware update.
As of now there has been no official change log but sprint seems to have confirmed the change log details for the new Android 4.4.2 update.

T-Mobile LG G2 D801 can be updated to latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The upgrade is possible with the help of custom ROM PAC-man. The development team of PAC-man ROM finally introduced Android 4.4.2 KitKat based PAC-man ROM for T-Mobile LG G2 D801. Which means, you can download and install custom firmware PAC-man to update your T-Mobile LG G2 D801 to latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat. T-Mobile LG G2 D801 comes with good hardware spec, hence is capable to run PAC-man smoothly. PAC-man ROM consist various features of Paranoid Android, AOKP and CyanogenMod. Another thing you should note, this is nightly build, hence expect some bugs in it. All bugs and issues expected to be fixed as development progress towards a stable PAC-man build.

This tutorial is only for T-Mobile LG G2 D801. Don’t try this guide on any other Android device. Also, we (Android Pulp Team) are not responsible for any damage caused due to the instruction given in this page. Try this at your own risk. However, it is very unlikely that your device will be damaged if you follow all the instructions as it is which are mentioned in procedure.  
Pre Requisites:
1. ROM flashing require you to wipe your internal memory data, hence you required to backup your device data. You can follow our ultimate backup guide.
2.  Make sure your device have at least 60% battery power. If your phone shut down during installation then there is good chance to brick your device.You can install an app like Battery Notifier BT Free on your Android device to check it easily.
3. You must have USB Driver Installed for T-Mobile LG G2 D801 in your PC. [Download USB Drivers]
4. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled otherwise its wont be possible to transfer file between PC and T-Mobile LG G2 D801. [Guide].
5. Your device have latest CWM version 6.0.4.4 and up or TWRP 2.6.3.1 and up installed. [General Guide]
If you done everything that we mentioned above then you are ready to follow step-by-step guide on how to install Android 4.4.2 KitKat based PAC-man ROM on T-Mobile LG G2 D801.

  2. Google Apps [Filename: pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140207-signed.zip]
How to Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat based PAC-man ROM on T-Mobile LG G2 D801
  1. Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device. Important: Don’t extract any files.
  2. Disconnect USB and then turn off your T-Mobile LG G2 D801.
  3. Now, boot into recovery mode. To do so, press and hold Volume down & Power, when the LG logo appears release and press them again, then press the Power button three times! In recovery use Volume Keys to navigate between option and Power button to select an option. Alternatively try this: Recovery Mode without Key Combination.
  4. Perform a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM that you can restore later if this new ROM not work or you want to go back into your previous ROM. To perform a backup, select Backup and Restore, then on the next screen, select Backup again. Go back to main recovery menu after backup is complete.
  5. Now, perform data wiping task. To do so, select wipe data/factory reset, then select Yes on next screen to confirm your action. Wait few minutes till the data wipe is complete. Now come back to CWM recovery main menu. Select wipe cache partition and after wiping process done, select Wipe Dalvik Cache under advance option to perform Dalvik cache wiping.
  6. Select install zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from sdcard. Now, locate the PAC-man Zip file that you copied earlier in Step 1 and select it by pressing Power button. Confirm installation by selecting Yes – Install _____.zip on the next screen. The ROM installation will begin.
  7. Once the ROM installation process end, repeat the step 6 but choose the pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140207-signed.zip file instead of ROM zip to install the Google apps package.
  8. When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot your T-Mobile LG G2 D801 and boot up into Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM PAC-man
  9. Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select backup and restore then restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
Tutorial For TWRP Recovery Users:
  1. Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device. Important: Don’t extract any files.

  5. Perform a Factory Reset (this will delete all apps and their settings and game progress). To do this, Tap on Wipe, then at the bottom of the screen do a Swipe on the ‘Swipe to factory reset‘ option.
  6. Now its time to add zip file for flashing. Tap on Install, then browse to the location where you saved the files and tap on the PAC-man Zip file. Then tap on Add More Zips, and add pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140207-signed.zip. Now at the bottom of the screen, do a swipe on the Swipe to confirm flash option to begin flashing.
  7. When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and tap on Reboot and then, tap on System to reboot your T-Mobile LG G2 D801 and boot up into Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM PAC-man.
  8. Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select Backup then through Restore option, restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
Congrats! Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware based custom ROM PAC-man is now running on your T-Mobile LG G2 D801. Now explore the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat. [Note: If you find difficulties to run root only apps then it may be disabled. Do this then, enable developer settings first (tap the build number 8 times under about device), then enable root under Developer Settings].
